Our friends form Arlington Cultural Affairs will offer a new service - online artist directory - to Arlington based artists starting in the spring of 2010. Check their guidelines below and visit their new web site.
At the heart of Arlington’s thriving arts community is arlingtonarts.org, the website of and for the arts in Arlington. Newly redesigned, the site is the place to find a performance, event, class or other arts opportunity. The site is a service to the public and to arts organizations, and, along with the new look, Cultural Affairs Division is currently in the process of expanding arlingtonarts.org to include an online directory of individual artists of all disciplines, 18 years of age or over, who live or work in Arlington.
The potential for individual Arlington artists to reach a large audience with a body of work represented on the arlingtonarts.org website will soon be realized as the second phase of the website. While presently many artists expose their work by way of their own web sites, or on sites such as MySpace or Etsy, they will soon have the opportunity for additional exposure through a site that is familiar to the general public in Arlington, and will be able to direct traffic to their more detailed personal sites.
What: Upcoming online artist directory on arlingtonarts.org (If you have not checked out the new website, what are you waiting for? Do it now!)
