At Art Outlet, we are aware of safety precautions. The safety of our visitors, participants, staff and volunteers are our top priority. We have therefor developed a policy consisting of rules, regulations and bureaucracy to ensure safe and smooth operation of our art activities. You can download our zipped PDF file here. 1.) All our events are insured up to $1,000,000.00. In addition we pay all the utilities.
.) Emergency Response Plan: All fire exits are identified ahead of time. Our Art Outlet staff are made aware of these exits and can point visitors to them in the event of an emergency. We have a list of emergency phone numbers listed near the entrance with google maps. There is a basic medical kit available.
.) We will provide a bathroom facility if needed.
.) Our Art Outlet team makes sure that the property and art are secure and under constant surveillance. We care about the location and value your cooperation.
.) We have 2 door greeters during high peek times.
.) We have at least one security person in charge during evening operations.
.) Our volunteer coordinator trains gallery managers and volunteers in regards to event performance, customer service and safety issues.
.) Our gallery director ensures that the art is correctly installed.
.) Our director of facilities ensures that the property is suitable for hosting an art event.
.) We clean up and remove all trash from the property.
.) We are proud of our track record. Many of the Art Outlet artists have organized events for years and are experienced. We leave a space in a cleaner condition as first encountered. Please see the photo section ("A Building Transformation ") under media on our web site www.artoutlet.org. The Danville Body Shop in Clarendon was gutted, cleaned and prepared for our first art exhibit and left in pristine condition after we handed over the building to our event partner.
