Artist Participation Agreement

Art Outlet Disclaimer for Participation in the Art Outlet Group, it’s activities, the web site and services as outlined under Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Bylaws.

Artist Participation Agreement for all Art Outlet events.

1. Participant Age
The Artist must be 18 years or older in order to participate in any Art Outlet Activity.

2. Copyright

Copyright and all reproduction rights in the artworks, as well as the ownership of the physical artworks themselves, are the property of and reserved to the Artist.

4. Art Sales
All sales are handled by the Artist. Art Outlet is a certified 501c(3) Non-Profit Organization and collects no commission on any sales, purchase or artistic representation of any item or performance generated by its artistic collective. Any donations received from the artist arising from sale of their original artwork are strictly voluntary and at the discretion of the artist. These donations qualify as tax exempt under the provisions of the 501c(3) Non-Profit Organization reporting requirements.

5. Insurance of Art Work
Art Outlet does not insure art. Each Artist is responsible for insuring her/his own art. Art Outlet cannot guarantee insurance and security of artworks on exhibit. We will, however, try to take care of your art and handle it with care.

6. Loss, Theft, or Damage
The Artist agrees to assume full responsibility and be strictly liable for loss, theft, or damage to the artworks from the time of shipment or delivery by the Artist and for the duration of the Activity, to installation and de-installation of the work. The Artist further agrees to collect all of the artworks at his or her own expense. Art Outlet will not be responsible for or store uncollected artworks.

7. Physical Damage, Injuries or Death

Art Outlet and its officers is not liable for an injury and death to the Artist during the Activity, to installation or de-installation of the work.

8. Printed Materials and Web Site
Art Outlet reserves the right to reproduce your art on our web site, promotional or educational purposes. Your name will be published at all times with the art when reproduced.

9. Miscellany
The agreement shall be binding upon the parties hereto, their heirs, successors, assigns and personal representatives. The agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties. Its terms can only be modified by an instrument in writing signed by both parties. A waiver of any breach of any of the provisions of this Agreement shall not be construed as a continuing waiver of other breaches of the same or other provision hereof. It shall be governed by the laws of the state of VA.
